In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The San Diego Hops coasted to a win over the South Carolina Bombers, 10-2. Jejomar Butardo had a good day at the plate for San Diego. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Hops, with just their 11th win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.
San Diego grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first when Ken Abbott hit a 2-run single. For the day, Abbott went 2-2 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Randy England said.
