Silicon Valley center fielder Dao-zi Woo picked up 5 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Temple Goers, 5-4. Silicon Valley reliever Rob Simons picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Nathan Briggs was collared with the loss. With the win, Silicon Valley has a record of 48-31. Temple falls to 38-39.
Had Woo not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Woo hit a 3-run home run. The Hackers never looked back after taking the 5-2 lead.
"Both teams played hard," said Silicon Valley manager Bob Miller.
