Defenders Deal Shamrocks 4-3 Setback
|
West Coast rode a decent outing from starter John Witt to victory over the Pacifica Shamrocks at North Shore Park. The final score was 4-3. Jiro Watanabe got credit for the save for West Coast. It was his 3rd of the year. The third-place Defenders have won 4 consecutive games.
Yoshiaga Oshima contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he got hit by a pitch. It was one at-bat that propelled West Coast to the win.
"John was throwing strikes, locating well," said West Coast manager John Griffin.
