Wooddisse goes 3-for-3 as Shamrocks Squeeze Past Silicon Valley
|
Pacifica first baseman Brandon Wooddisse was instrumental in his team's 6-5 win over the Silicon Valley Hackers. Wooddisse went 3-3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Shamrocks. Carlos León earned the win for Pacifica. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. Paul Calamy notched his 20th save in 24 chances.
Sozen Watanabe drove in one run for Pacifica. In the bottom of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 4-4, Watanabe delivered for the Shamrocks. His run-scoring hit-by-pitch put Pacifica on top, 5-4.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wooddisse.
The Shamrocks, at 50-26, lead by one game in their division.
