Eureka rode a good effort from starter Mitsunari Kobayashi to beat the New York Mafia at Don Corleone Park. The final score was 5-2. Kobayashi got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Kobayashi allowed 2 earned runs. Andrés Nevárez nailed down his 7th save.

José Ibarra said he was thinking home run when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Ibarra did just that. He belted a 2-run home run to stake Eureka to a 4-2 lead.
