Shamrocks Fall Short at Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Hellcats turned back the Pacifica Shamrocks, 7-6, at Hellcats Park. Motoki Hayakawa was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. The win was Kawanari Uchida's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Shojiro Inoue took the loss for Pacifica. With the win over Pacifica, the Hellcats improved to 30-43.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Jacksonville designated hitter Ze-dong Xun, facing Pascal Leroy, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hellcats the 7-6 win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Hayakawa said.
