Wolves Edge Temple in Pitching Duel

The Lake of the Isles Wolves got a scintillating performance from pitcher Bob Roy, who shut out the Temple Goers, 1-0. The save was credited to Bill Lacy, his 11th. Lake of the Isles is now 28-45, Temple 35-37.
Parking one for Lake of the Isles was Jim Burgess. The right fielder had a solo home run in the top of the third for the Wolves. It put his team ahead, 1-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Burgess was 2-3 with a home run.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Lake of the Isles manager Brad Johnson.
