Hackers Get 3-1 Win Versus Riverside
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Bobby Smith, who muffled the Riverside offense en route to a tight 3-1 Hackers win at Red Bull Stadium. Kirk Redman earned the save, his 4th, for the Hackers. The Hackers saw their win-loss record go to 43-28. At the same time, the Red Bulls fell to 51-19.
Javier Cháves contributed to the Silicon Valley cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double, propelling Silicon Valley to the win.
"I had pretty much everything working," said Smith.
