Ducks Take Down Jail Birds, 7-4
|
Wisconsin Dells Ducks starter Mito Omichi was in fine form against the Newark Jail Birds at The Pond, leading his team to a 7-4 win. The Jail Birds, at 19-50, have lost 4 straight games.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Volmer Wolthuis stroked a go-ahead run-scoring double. It was his 8th double of the season and put Wisconsin Dells in front, 1-0.
"Mito was throwing strikes, locating well," said Wisconsin Dells manager Bobby Edwards.
