At the rate they were hitting, the Riverside Red Bulls hardly needed a gem from their starting pitcher. They got one anyway, pulling away from the Jacksonville Hellcats in the 13-1 win. Jay Till took home player of the game honors for Riverside. Earning his 2nd save for Riverside was Filipe Castanheta. The first-place Red Bulls have won 5 straight games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the first, with the game tied, Fred Constant was at the plate when Riverside scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Red Bulls to go in front, 1-0.

"We had that killer instinct," Constant said after the game.
