The Frisco Rams stymied the Jacksonville Hellcats, 6-2, at Outlander Park. Sang-soo Kim, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Frisco. Ronaldo Teves, the winner, improved to 4-5. He held Jacksonville to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Earning his 3rd save for Frisco was Shu-de Chia.
A defensive miscue in the bottom of the third cost the Hellcats. With Frisco trailing 1-0, Yen-nien Sun reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. Frisco ended up winning the ballgame.
Kim called the triumph "a good team win."
The second-place Rams improved to 40-25.
