The Pacifica Shamrocks did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Wisconsin Dells Ducks at The Pond. Nobody did more than pitcher Saiyid Mashwanis, who captured player of the game honors. Mashwanis got the win, improving to 8-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Mashwanis allowed 3 earned runs. Paul Calamy closed it out for his 17th save.

The Shamrocks beat the Ducks in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Eppe de Valk produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Wisconsin Dells pitcher Mito Omichi, de Valk gave his team a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mashwanis told the Pacifica Daily News.

Pacifica occupies first place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division at 45-20.
