Castillo hits 2 home runs, Red Bulls Move to 43-17
|
The 2028 season is getting ugly for Killeen.
The Riverside Red Bulls beat the Killeen Black Knights, 6-2, at The Bird Stadium. Riverside designated hitter Lorenzo Castillo earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Phil Phillips got the win, improving to 10-1. He held the Black Knights to 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1.
Castillo had a key at-bat for Riverside early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave Riverside an early 3-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Castillo.
Riverside is now 43-17, 5 games up in the Alexander Cartwright League Pirate Parrot League.
