Yamada Leads Charge, West Coast Blasts Hellcats
The West Coast Defenders met little resistance from the Jacksonville Hellcats, beating them 13-3 at Hellcats Park. Harumi Yamada led the way. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for West Coast. Getting the save was Tetsuzan Eida, his 1st. The Defenders sit in 4th place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division with a record of 29-33.

Yamada came through with some timely hitting for West Coast. With the score 1-1 in the top of the second and two down, Yamada hit a first pitch fastball for a bases-clearing double. His 5th double of the season made it 4-1, West Coast.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a pretty good chance to win the game," said Yamada.
