Late Magic Gets Lake of the Isles 7-4 Win
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Toru Yoshikawa, the West Coast Defenders suffered a 7-4 loss to the Lake of the Isles Wolves. Yoshikawa was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Lake of the Isles reliever Jorge Navarro picked up the win to move to 1-2. George Fortin suffered the loss. Lake of the Isles is 5th in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division with a record of 24-33.

Juan Gómez aided the Lake of the Isles cause with a 2-run single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1. He drove in 2 runs.
