The exploits of left fielder Sam Kramer helped the Sioux Falls Trojans defeat the Jacksonville Hellcats, 5-1. Kramer was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Sioux Falls reliever Bob Hill picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kane Wright was saddled with the loss. Enrique Castillo earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 1st of the year.

Tsumemasa Sakamoto had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Trojans. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Sioux Falls trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Miller.

The Trojans now have a record of 30-26 with the win over Jacksonville.
