Red Bulls Suffer 8-3 Loss to Enforcers
|
Atlantic City overcame a superlative game from Filipe Castanheta to beat Riverside, 8-3. The Riverside pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He came in in relief and pitched to 26 batters . Don Cannon got the win, improving to 2-5. He held the Red Bulls to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Atlantic City now sits in 6th place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division at 18-38.
Atlantic City catcher Mitsuo Sasaki contributed to the cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the first. For the game, Sasaki went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sasaki told the Atlantic City Citizen.
