Multi-HR Day for Sato as Beetlecats Overpower Jail Birds, 10-3
|
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the Newark Jail Birds, 10-3, with right fielder Yasunari Sato playing a big role. Sato went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Beetlecats in the win. Buzzard's Bay starter Jorge Rodríguez was credited with the win after throwing 100 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 5-6. Buzzard's Bay now sits in second place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division at 30-24.
Early in the game, Sato had a 3-run home run for Buzzard's Bay. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Beetlecats on top, 6-3.
