Hackers Win Hitfest, 12-11
|
The Lake of the Isles Wolves got a superb performance from designated hitter Grégory Bonnel. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Silicon Valley. The Hackers won the game, 12-11. In spite of the loss, Bonnel was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times. The Hackers are now 30-25, while the Wolves fall to 23-31.
Kevin Campbell, who leads the ACL in extra base hits with 28, helped out the Silicon Valley cause in the top of the ninth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Bob Miller.
