Goers Hang 5-3 Loss on Beetlecats
|
Fans who gathered at Goers Field saw a good contest between the Temple Goers and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats.
Temple catcher Bartolo Rodríguez was a significant contributor in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk for Temple. Temple reliever Jae-bok Han was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Bert Bleazard took the loss. John Cosman sewed up the save, his 14th.
Temple took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, first baseman José Rivas hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Enjoyed this one," Rivas told the Temple News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Buzzard's Bay now has a 5-game losing streak.
