Defenders Pick Up 12-5 Win
|
The West Coast Defenders topped the Atlantic City Enforcers, 12-5, with youngster Steve Silver playing a key role. Silver went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Defenders in the win. West Coast reliever Li-zhu Shi was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jin-song Ouyang. The Defenders now have a mark of 24-27.
Louis Loder contributed to the West Coast cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the second inning. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, propelling West Coast to the win.
