Hayagawa Shines in Enforcers Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 24-year old right fielder Masujiro Hayagawa helped the Atlantic City Enforcers beat the West Coast Defenders, 10-6. Yeijiro Suzuki earned the win for Atlantic City. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. Máximo Larreta finished the game for Atlantic City and earned his 5th save.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Hayagawa, who is tied for 3rd in the ACL in home runs with 11, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Enforcers into the lead, 7-3.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Hayagawa told the Atlantic City Citizen.
With the win, the Enforcers have a record of 15-33.
