Tornadoes Finish Off Black Knights in 12

The Brooklyn Black Knights got a superb performance from pitcher Felipe Clavijo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kansas City. The Tornadoes won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Clavijo was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The Black Knights fall to 11-20 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 12th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Matt Winters, hit a single. It helped Kansas City seize the win.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Winters.
