Hackers Get Past Atlantic City for 4-3 Win
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers faced a tough opponent in Atlantic City pitcher Jin-song Ouyang, but did just enough to pull out the victory at San Jose Municipal Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Ouyang went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Silicon Valley reliever Vic Evans was the winner. His record is now 4-0. Sonny Larson took the loss. Silicon Valley currently is in 4th place in the Alexander Cartwright League Pirate Parrot League at 25-21.
Kevin Campbell drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate, while adding 2 RBI for Silicon Valley. In a tie game with two out in the bottom of the eighth, Campbell came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Hackers in front, 4-3.
"We'll savor this win," Campbell told the Silicon Valley Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
