Trojans Clip Black Knights in Tight Contest
|
The Sioux Falls Trojans grabbed a 6-4 win over the Killeen Black Knights at Trojans Park. Sioux Falls first baseman Paul Rice went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Sioux Falls reliever Ian Burrell got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Harrison Dabbs was tagged with the loss. The Trojans, at 23-19, sit in third place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division.
Rice went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs against the Black Knights. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring double that scored 1 and put Sioux Falls in front, 5-4.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rice said after the game.
