Mafia shortstop Derrek Anderson put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Havana Stogies. Anderson was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double for New York in the contest. Reliever Mitchell Thompson picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Peter Miner took the loss. Kunihiko Mizuno recorded the save for New York, his 2nd of the season.

New York took the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Anderson hit a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season made the score 1-0, New York.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Anderson said. "That's how it goes."

New York, at 3-1, has sizzled in the early going.
