Jesters Come Up Short at South Carolina
|
Bomber Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Jersey Jesters and South Carolina Bombers.
The South Carolina Bombers picked up a win at Bomber Ballpark, knocking off the Jersey Jesters, 5-4. Starting pitcher Ruberto Laranjeira, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. South Carolina reliever Shinzo Sasaki was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Richard Lawson took the loss.
It could have been a different outcome for South Carolina, had it not been for Paco Feliciano, the 34-year old second baseman . Feliciano contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning to put South Carolina up, 2-0.
"Ruberto was throwing free and easy," said South Carolina manager Randy Huggett.
The win takes South Carolina to 16-14.
