Frisco first baseman Sang-soo Kim was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Buzzard's Bay beat the Rams, 11-8. Kim was named the player of the game despite the loss. The win was credited to Guo Da in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Shu-de Chia took the loss. Hidekazu Komatsu was credited with the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 8th of the season.

Had it not been for Junzo Sato, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Beetlecats were trailing 8-7, Sato hit a 2-run single for Buzzard's Bay, giving his team the lead.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Sato said. "That's how it goes."

The Beetlecats have an impressive 25-14 record.
