Marauders Stay Hot With 9-6 Win
|
Maple center fielder Goldi Lebel was instrumental in his team's 9-6 win over the Bloomington Blazers. Lebel, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, went 4-5 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Marauders. Adrien Clément nailed down his 6th save. The Blazers fall to 12-19 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.
The Maple win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Don Orton. In the bottom of the fourth, the Maple right fielder came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 6-4 lead.
"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Orton.
