The Lake of the Isles Wolves topped the Newark Jail Birds by the score of 13-6, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Luis Alaniz. Alaniz went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 for the Wolves. Lake of the Isles reliever Serge Dupré got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Manabu Yamauchi was tagged with the loss. The losses continue to pile up for Newark, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.

With one out in the top of the fifth, Britt Mayes hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 15th hit of the season and with it the Wolves took a 4-3 lead.
