The Black Knights grabbed a win, 5-4, at Parliament Field, overcoming a fine effort from Atlantic City pitcher Don Cannon. Cannon went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Killeen reliever Roger Hood picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jim Unknown shouldered the loss. Umarah Abdul-Quddus recorded the save for Killeen, his 7th of the season.
Luppe Looms broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the eighth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Black Knights in front, 5-4. For the game, Looms drove in one run.
"I like our mindset right now," said Killeen manager Chase Burke.
The Black Knights, at 10-27, have now won 4 straight.
