Pacifica starter Iván Rea kept the Jacksonville offense in check, while his team cruised to a 13-0 win. The winning pitcher was Rea, now 4-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9. The second-place Shamrocks improved to 24-11.

With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, third baseman Tadasu Inoue delivered big for the Shamrocks. Pacifica was leading 7-0 when he belted a 3-run home run.

"The game plan didn't change," said Rea. "I kept pitching like it was nothing to nothing."
