Victory Over Wolves Takes Pacifica to 23-10
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks did just enough to sneak past the Lake of the Isles Wolves, 4-3, at McCormick Field. Pacifica pitcher Bi`nh Trieu earned player of the game honors. Paul Calamy earned his 8th save in 8 tries. The Shamrocks go to 23-10, putting them second in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division.
Long Chau went 1-4 with a double for Pacifica. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Julien Martin. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Chau said.
