Wolves Defeat Shamrocks, 5-3
|
Wolves third baseman Britt Mayes put his stamp on his team's 5-3 win over the Pacifica Shamrocks. Mayes was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Lake of the Isles in the contest. Bill Lacy was credited with the save for Lake of the Isles, his 6th of the season. The Shamrocks, now 22-10, continue their sluggish start.
Lake of the Isles grabbed the momentum in the top of the sixth, when Mayes hit a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Wolves out in front, 4-2.
Mayes called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
