The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats knocked off the Lake of the Isles Wolves, 9-5, at Bloomfield Road. Tsuneyo Nakagawa, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Buzzard's Bay won. The third baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The Beetlecats, now 20-8, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Buzzard's Bay took the lead in the bottom of the fourth on a big hit from Bill Hinkle. On a 1-2 cutter from Juan Santana, Hinkle hit a 2-run single. That made it 6-4, Beetlecats. For the day, Hinkle went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"They played a better game than we did," said Lake of the Isles skipper Brad Johnson.
