Big Day by Dempsey Ignites Mustangs Win
The Mile High Mustangs bested the Quebec Armada, 7-3, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Marshall Dempsey was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Juan Martínez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jordan Taylor took the loss. The win brings the Mustangs to 10-18, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

The tide might have turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth, had not Juan Martínez made a big pitch. With the bases loaded and the Armada trailing 4-2, he retired Lyle Simmons, who flied out.
