Red Bulls Stay Hot With 4-2 Win
|
Riverside pitcher Ryunosuke Chikafuji did his part in helping his team beat the Lake of the Isles Wolves, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Chikafuji, now 4-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Ahilocana Keyush picked up the save, his 5th.
With no one out in the top of the fourth, Dermot Currall stroked a go-ahead run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put Riverside in front, 2-1.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Riverside manager Joe Ward.
Riverside, now 20-6, is setting the league on fire so far.
