Goers Best Enforcers in Pitching Duel
|
The Temple Goers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Atlantic City Enforcers at Goers Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Wynn Cox, who captured player of the game honors. John Cosman recorded the save for Temple, his 8th of the season. The Enforcers, at 6-21, have stumbled out of the gate.
It could have been a different outcome for Temple, had it not been for Norihide Sato, the slick-fielding center fielder . Sato contributed a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third inning to put Temple up, 2-0.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Cox.
