Goers Cut Down Enforcers, 5-3
|
Masujiro Hayagawa did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Atlantic City Enforcers from losing, 5-3, to the Temple Goers at Goers Field. Hayagawa went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. John Cosman picked up the save for Temple, his 7th of the year. The Enforcers, at 5-20, have stumbled out of the gate.
Temple took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Rhys Kirton hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Goers fans to their feet.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Kirton. "Just do my job."
