The Silicon Valley Hackers pounded the Sioux Falls Trojans, 14-0, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Silicon Valley center fielder Scott Stone was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Hackers, now 17-6, have been red hot.

The Silicon Valley win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Kijuro Masuda. In the bottom of the third, the Silicon Valley designated hitter came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Miller. "We got flat-out beat."
