Pitcher William Kramer was sensational for the West Coast Defenders in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Jacksonville Hellcats. Kramer received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The save went to Tao Ru, his 2nd this season. The Hellcats fall to 8-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.

Toru Yoshikawa went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once against the Hellcats. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a 2-run single, putting West Coast in front, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Yoshikawa told the West Coast Chronicle.
