Medina Goes Wild, But Ducks Win
|
Wisconsin Dells withstood an impressive performance by Buzzard's Bay first baseman António Medina to defeat the Beetlecats, 6-5, at The Pond. Medina hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Tim Stady Jr. got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. With the win, Wisconsin Dells elevates its record to 14-10.
Hervé Cohen contributed to the Wisconsin Dells win. The 20-year old shortstop stroked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, Cohen went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Cohen, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
