Blazers Continue Skid Thanks to Zavala, Marauders
|
A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Iván Zavala led the Maple Marauders to a 14-6 win over the Bloomington Blazers. Getting the save was Khurshid Durrani, his 1st. With the loss, Bloomington falls to 12-18.
The Marauders took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Dustin McMahon banged a two-out single. Maple had been trailing 6-5, but McMahon hit a first pitch fastball from Luis Cruz for a 2-run single.
"I don't care about style points," Zavala said. "I only care about winning."
