Eureka Topples Cabo San Lucas, 4-3

The Eureka Hornets and Cabo San Lucas Toreros played an exciting game at The Nest.
The Eureka Hornets trumped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 4-3, at The Nest. Eureka second baseman Ming Chin was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-2 with a home run and a walk. Eureka reliever Elliott Rogers got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Clarence Byrd was tagged with the loss. Andrés Nevárez earned his 6th save in 7 tries.
Jorge Moreno delivered a big hit for the Hornets. The veteran right fielder belted a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The longball put Eureka on top, 3-3. Overall, Moreno went 2-4 with a home run.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Cabo San Lucas skipper José Núñez.
The Toreros fall to 13-16 and continue their lackluster start to the 2028 season.
