Victory Over Wolves Takes Silicon Valley to 12-4
The Silicon Valley Hackers turned back the Lake of the Isles Wolves, 6-5, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Clarence Anderson was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. Dorian Payne got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Shunji Kurota earned the save for Silicon Valley, his 3rd of the year.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Reece Wager hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 10th hit of the season and with it the Hackers took a 6-5 lead.

"We've got a great group of guys," Wager said, "and we're having fun right now."

Silicon Valley, at 12-4, has sizzled in the early going.
