It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Black Knights fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.

Getting a good performance from designated hitter Mike Farquharson, the Killeen Black Knights defeated the West Coast Defenders, 6-4. Farquharson was 2 for 3 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Black Knights. Rodrigo Garza got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Defenders to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4.

Farquharson went 2 for 3 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 against the Defenders. In the top of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring double that scored 1 and put Killeen in front, 1-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Farquharson told a Killeen Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

The Black Knights, with only their 4th win in 16 games, have not had much to write home about in 2028.
