Aston Leads Charge, Pacifica Blasts Trojans
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Pacifica Shamrocks got production from their entire lineup in an easy 13-2 win over the Sioux Falls Trojans. Player of the game honors went to center fielder Marty Aston. Aston, who leads the ACL in hits with 22, went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The hot start continues for the defending champion Shamrocks, who took their 9th win in 13 this year.
Chipping in for Pacifica was catcher Shi-kai Tsu. He stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, Tsu was 2-6 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Sioux Falls manager Barry Miller called the blowout loss "just something that happens."
