Victory Pushes Trojans Record to 5-5
|
The inspired effort of Lake of the Isles designated hitter Rafael Rivera was not enough to prevent a 7-5 loss to the Sioux Falls Trojans. Rivera went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Ian Burrell, his 2nd. With the win, Sioux Falls improves its record to 5-5.
There were several reasons the Trojans beat the Wolves, but one factor was Paul Rice. In the top of the sixth, the Sioux Falls first baseman came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 6-5 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rice.
