Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats starter Roberto Valentín turned in a top-notch performance against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. The result was a win for the Beetlecats, 4-2. Buzzard's Bay reliever Hidekazu Komatsu was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Joshua Fullerton. The Beetlecats raised their record to 8-3.

Runs were at a premium. So, Roy Mills's at-bat with no one out in the top of the 11th was crucial. The Buzzard's Bay pinch hitter hit a 2-run home run, to give his team a 4-2 lead.
