6-3 Win by Beetlecats Continues Hot Start
|
Starting pitcher Arata Shimizu pitched well enough to help the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats beat the Sioux Falls Trojans by the score of 6-3. The Beetlecats, now 5-2, have been playing some good baseball.
Also pitching for Buzzard's Bay was shortstop Bill Hinkle, who hammered a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, Hinkle went 2 for 4 with a home run.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Shimizu. "Successful pitchers do it."
